The short version
Some of the links on The Golden Standard are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. This is how the site pays its bills.
The longer version (because trust matters here)
The Federal Trade Commission requires us to disclose this clearly, and we’d do it anyway:
- Commissions never influence our rankings or recommendations. Companies cannot pay us for placement, for a review, or for a favorable verdict. Our picks are based on independent research, testing data, published terms, and what’s genuinely best for the reader.
- We disclose on every page. Any article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure notice at the top — not buried at the bottom.
- The price you pay doesn’t change. Affiliate commissions are paid by the seller out of their own margin. You pay the same price whether you use our link or go directly.
- We sometimes recommend products with no affiliate program. If the best option for you doesn’t pay us a commission, we recommend it anyway. That’s the whole point of an independent review site.
Which programs we participate in
We may earn commissions through programs including (but not limited to) Amazon Associates, ShareASale, and direct partnerships with individual brands. The specific programs are listed in each article’s disclosure notice where applicable.
Questions?
If you ever wonder whether a recommendation was influenced by a commission, ask us through our contact page. We’ll answer honestly — and if we got something wrong, we’ll fix it.
